Kudus Regent urges civil servants to launch social welfare initiative
Kudus Regent Sam’ani Intakoris has called upon civil servants (ASN) within the Kudus Regency Government to initiate social welfare activities through a movement called ‘Jumat Berbagi’ (Sharing Friday). The initiative encourages individual regional government organizations (OPD) and civil servants to provide aid to vulnerable community members, such as orphans, elderly widows, and those in economic hardship.
Sam’ani noted that these contributions do not need to be uniform or centralized. Instead, they can be distributed directly by various departments—such as public works or financial management offices—to those in need within their respective environments. The movement is intended to complement existing social programs run by the Social Services, Baznas, and local companies, while also strengthening the bond between government employees and the local community.
