Kugenuma Coast to host international beach tennis tournaments

The Japan Beach Tennis Federation Kanagawa Branch will host two consecutive international beach tennis tournaments at Kugenuma Coast in Fujisawa in late 2026.

The first event, the ‘BT100 FUJISAWA Bengo4. com Open’, is scheduled for September 25–27, 2026. This will be followed by the ‘BT100 FUJISAWA Masa Kugenuma Open’ from October 2–4, 2026. Both tournaments are part of the World Tennis (formerly ITF) Beach Tennis World Tour.

Kugenuma Coast serves as a significant location for the sport, marking the site where beach tennis was introduced to Japan in 2008. The tournaments will feature domestic and international players competing in a no-bounce racket sport played on sand. Spectators can watch the matches for free at the Kugenuma Coast Surf Village beach courts.
