Kujawsko-Pomorskie wins Polish Technical Rescue Championships

The Kujawsko-Pomorskie regional representative team won the 2026 Polish Technical Rescue Championships for firefighters. The competition took place on September 4 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój near the MOSiR Sports and Entertainment Hall.

Nineteen teams participated, including representatives from various Polish voivodeships, fire service academies, and a guest team from the Czech Republic. Competitors faced realistic road accident scenarios that required vehicle stabilization, the use of hydraulic rescue tools, and the provision of qualified first aid. Success was measured by technical skill, tactical decision-making, team communication, and safety protocols rather than speed alone.

The Opolskie voivodeship secured second place, while the Central Firefighting School in Częstochowa took third. Other participating groups included various regional fire service commands and specialized firefighting schools from Bydgoszcz, Poznań, and Warsaw.
