Kuje Area Council Chairman Danjuma Shekwolo appoints special assistant for entertainment

Kuje Area Council Chairman Danjuma Shekwolo in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory appointed Ibrahim Danladi as a Special Assistant on entertainment, a role that was initially reported as a focus on dance. The appointment letter, dated 13 July, took immediate effect and praised Danladi’s selflessness, hard work, dedication and contributions to the council’s development.

Shekwolo clarified that the position is intended to support the council’s broader entertainment activities, not solely dance. He noted that the appointment follows his February election victory, where he secured 17,269 votes to defeat PDP candidate Zakwoyi Danlami, who received 15,824 votes.

The move has drawn public attention due to the unusual portfolio, with the chairman emphasizing its purpose to strengthen the local entertainment sector.
