Kujtim Buza, prominent Albanian painter and scholar, passes away

Albanian painter, scholar, and professor Kujtim Buza has passed away. He was a significant figure in the country's visual arts scene and previously served as the director of the National Gallery of Arts.

Buza came from a prominent artistic family in Gjakova; he was the son of the renowned painter Abdurrahim Buza, one of the founders of modern Albanian painting. His life and career were deeply rooted in art, from his early childhood in his father's studio to his extensive professional contributions and academic work.

Minister of Culture Blendi Gonxhja noted that Buza's works are part of the National Gallery of Arts collection and represent a legacy that enriches the nation's cultural memory.
