Cancún Kukulcán Road Distributor reaches 74% completion

The construction of the Kukulcán Road Distributor in Cancún, Quintana Roo, has reached 74 percent completion, according to the Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT). The project, which began in April, involves an investment of 484 million pesos and covers a total length of 1.92 kilometers.

The infrastructure includes a 770-meter structure divided into two sections: one with two lanes and another with a single lane. It will feature lateral streets designed to connect the Nichupté Bridge with the Kukulcán Boulevard, providing direct access between the urban area, the hotel zone, and the Cancún International Airport.

Currently, the project has deployed six work fronts for foundation, structure construction, and embankment work. The development has generated 2,890 jobs and is expected to benefit 1.32 million residents and 20 million annual tourists by improving traffic flow, reducing travel times, and increasing road safety.
