Kula celebrates Republic Day with lantern procession and folk dances

In the Kula district of Manisa, celebrations for the 103rd anniversary of Republic Day were held following a delay caused by adverse weather conditions. The festivities commenced at 19:23 with a lantern procession starting from the front of Hacı Ömer Özboyacı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

Accompanied by the Selim-Sabahat Palanduz Anatolian High School band, the procession included students, local yaren groups, and numerous citizens carrying Turkish flags. The event concluded at Yunus Emre City Square, where local yaren teams performed traditional folk dances, including ‘Harmandalı’ and ‘Aydın Zeybeği’.

Attendees included District Governor Talha Altuntaş, Mayor Hikmet Dönmez, District Director of National Education Ahmet Taşçı, political representatives, and various local officials.
