Kula Municipality conducts food safety and price inspections

Municipal police in Kula, Turkey, conducted inspections of markets and grocery stores to ensure food safety and protect consumer rights. The inspections focused on checking expiration dates, product packaging integrity, and storage conditions.

Authorities also verified that shelf prices matched the prices charged at the cash register. In instances where discrepancies were found, officials aimed to take action in accordance with relevant legislation to protect consumers. During the operation, expired products were seized for destruction, and administrative reports were filed against businesses found to be in violation of regulations. Kula Mayor Hikmet Dönmez stated that the primary priority of these inspections is to protect public health and ensure citizens have access to reliable food.
