Kulgam terrorist attack draws condemnation from Indian ministers

A terrorist attack in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killed two migrant workers from Chhattisgarh. Uttar Pradesh minister Baldev Singh Aulakh condemned the incident, asking why the workers were targeted, and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to forgive protesting students. Aulakh also welcomed the recent reduction in commercial LPG prices.

Rajasthan Home Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham also denounced the attack, stating that "security agencies and forces should take strict action against anyone trying to spread terror" and promising a hard line against the perpetrators. Bedham used the occasion to criticize internal disputes within the state Congress party.

Both officials’ remarks were reported by IANS, highlighting the political response to the violence and the broader concerns about security and communal harmony in the region.
