Kulim man arrested for fatal stabbing of wife

A 39-year-old woman was killed after being stabbed 13 times by her husband at their home in Taman Tiram, Kulim Hi-Tech. The suspect, aged 43, surrendered to the Lunas Police Station at approximately 8:40 PM, handing over a 20-centimeter folding knife believed to be the weapon.

Kulim District Police Chief, Superintendent Syamsul Sinring, stated that the incident occurred in the master bedroom where the couple lived with their three-year-old child. Preliminary investigations suggest the attack was triggered by an argument regarding jealousy.

Following the incident, the suspect reportedly bathed and picked up his child from a caregiver before handing the child over to his sister. The victim was rushed to Kulim Hospital by family members but was confirmed dead at 9:30 PM. Forensic teams have collected 11 samples from the scene for investigation.
