Kullu doctor and relatives arrested in murder of Jal Shakti junior engineer

Police in Kullu arrested a female doctor, her husband (an Ayurvedic physician), her father‑in‑law and brother‑in‑law in connection with the killing of a Junior Engineer of the Jal Shakti Department. Investigators say the victim was summoned to the family home on a water‑pipeline issue, after which a dispute over a suspected relationship escalated and resulted in his murder. The body was left near a drain and later found unconscious; he died at AIIMS Bilaspur on July 26.

The Special Investigation Team, led by Additional SP Sanjeev Chauhan, used call‑detail records, CCTV footage and statements from household staff to reconstruct the timeline. All four accused have been medically examined and produced before the court, and the case remains under further investigation.
