Kulonprogo rice production remains stable despite dry season

Rice production in Kulonprogo has not yet faced significant disruptions due to the prolonged dry season. However, the Kulonprogo Agriculture and Food Service (Dispertapang) has advised farmers to use irrigation water efficiently and avoid delaying planting once land is ready.

Wazan Mudzakir, Head of Production and Plant Protection at Dispertapang, stated that while water supplies currently remain relatively safe, farmers must not become complacent. He emphasized that following planting schedules and managing water usage is essential to ensure that water needs are met during subsequent growth phases.
