Kulturhistorisk museum unveils Stone Age human reconstructions

The Museum of Cultural History in Norway has launched a new exhibition featuring the first facial reconstructions of Stone Age humans found in the country. Using advancements in DNA technology from the last two decades, researchers have been able to determine physical traits such as eye color, hair color, height, and gender.

The exhibition highlights three specific individuals: Sol, a woman from Søgne who lived approximately 9,000 years ago; Svane, based on 7,900-year-old finds from Stokke; and Rav, based on 4,000-year-old finds from Hurum. The project aims to humanize these prehistoric figures by showcasing their lives, relationships, and tools.
