Kumagaya City to Host Three-Day Kitchen Car and Bonodori Festival in August

Kumagaya City in Saitama Prefecture will hold a three‑day summer event called “Kitchen Car Umaisamono & KUMAGAYA‑BONODORI” from August 28 to 30, 2026. The free‑admission festival takes place at the Nitto Mall parking area near Kumagaya Station and features more than 60 food items from kitchen‑car vendors, local food stalls, a dance program that blends traditional Bonodori with DJ music, and live performances by various artists and DJs.

The schedule includes multiple Bonodori dance sessions each evening, a lineup of musical acts such as PRINK, Nisaka Natsuhō, and TONEMANIA, and a cash‑less payment option using the regional e‑money “KumaPay.” The event will proceed in rain but may be cancelled in severe weather. Public transport is encouraged due to expected crowds.
