Kumamoto culture travel program to air on J:COM Channel

J:COM will broadcast the travel program ‘Fukuaji Tabi no Susume: Kumamoto Edition’ on its J:COM Channel starting September 27, 2026. The program features broadcast writer Kundo Koyama and actress Kanna Mori exploring the food, culture, and people of Koyama’s hometown, Kumamoto.

The concept of ‘fukuaji’ refers to food that is not necessarily high-end but is loved by many and brings smiles to people. The journey includes visits to Kumamoto Castle, the Chinese restaurant ‘Morita-shiki Kowloon,’ the ‘Yudo’ inspired bathhouse ‘Suizen,’ and the ‘Hakutake Denshozo’ shochu museum.

The program was filmed prior to the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake. Koyama noted that the broadcast aims to support the region’s ongoing recovery efforts by highlighting the unchanging warmth and charm of Kumamoto’s people and traditions.
