Kumanovo school faces power outages due to old electrical installations

Students at the “Bajram Shabani” primary school in Kumanovo experienced a significant power outage from 14:00 yesterday until 10:00 today. During the disruption, students attended three hours of classes without electricity, while remaining scheduled hours were canceled.

School director Fatmir Ebibi stated that necessary measures were taken and the defect has been repaired. However, he raised concerns regarding the safety of the students and staff due to the age of the building and the strain on its electrical systems, calling for an inspection by competent experts.

EVN Elektrodistribuimi reported that their teams responded immediately to the notification. Following inspections, the company determined that the outages were caused by the building's internal installations, which are not under the ownership or competence of Elektrodistribuimi.
