Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit horror game set for 2027 PC release

Wired Productions has announced an international partnership with Thailand-based independent developer WereBuff Studio to publish Kumarn: The Wandering Spirit. The cinematic horror adventure is scheduled for release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2027.

Inspired by Thai folklore, the game follows Kumarn, a young spirit, and his companion Zeb. After a forbidden ritual disrupts the harmony between humans and spirits, the characters are thrust into a nightmare world of abandoned villages, ancient temples, and eerie forests. Players must navigate environments populated by malevolent creatures from local legends.

The gameplay focuses on stealth, environmental puzzles, and platforming elements. Because the protagonist is vulnerable, survival depends on hiding, distracting enemies, and using a sacred lamp to manipulate the environment and create escape routes. The title is set to be featured at Gamescom 2026 within the Indie Arena Booth.
