Kumesen Shuzo announces new whisky and Bikkuriman collaboration
Kumesen Shuzo, an Okinawa-based distillery, has announced several new product releases and collaborations. The company will showcase new offerings at the 50th Okinawa Industrial Festival from October 23 to 25, 2026.
Key releases include the distillery’s first single malt Japanese whisky, a 60% ABV cask strength spirit aged in sherry, refill bourbon, and red wine barrels. This limited edition of 300 bottles features a gold label depicting Shuri Castle. Additionally, the company is releasing a limited 2026 revival of its ‘Kumesen Green Bottle’ awamori, originally launched in 1978.
In a separate collaboration, Kumesen Shuzo is partnering with Lotte’s ‘Bikkuriman’ brand to launch ‘Bikkuriman WHISKY OKINAWA ISLAND BLUE Shisa Zeus’ on October 19, 2026. The 40% ABV whisky includes a unique, three-dimensional ‘Pukkuri-man’ sticker featuring a custom character that blends the Shisa and Super Zeus. The product will be available through official online shops and OKINAWA BLUE retail locations in Okinawa.
