Kumluca begins renewal of 36-year-old water transmission line

Infrastructure renewal works have commenced in the Kumluca town of Ulus district, Bartın, to replace a 36-year-old water transmission line. The project involves replacing approximately 7.5 kilometers of piping between Kızıllar and Kumluca.

Kumluca Mayor Mustafa Bozkurt inspected the site and performed the first weld on the new pipes. The project is being implemented with 16 million lira in support. The initiative aims to resolve long-standing issues caused by the aging infrastructure, including frequent pipe bursts, water loss, and service interruptions.

Local authorities intend to complete the replacement before the onset of the winter season to ensure a stable water supply for the residents.
