Kumluca pepper producer prepares for upcoming harvest

In the Kumluca district of Antalya, farmer Adem Dalgıç is preparing for the pepper harvest after a season that began in September. Dalgıç, who has been farming for 40 years, operates approximately 50,000 square meters of greenhouse space alongside his son.

Focusing on pointed and charleston peppers this season, Dalgıç expects to begin harvesting within 10 to 15 days. He utilizes biological control methods and good agricultural practices under local supervision to minimize chemical use. Approximately 80 percent of his production is designated for export, while products that do not meet export aesthetic standards are sold to the domestic market.
