Kundo Koyama to lead cultural events and lectures in Kyoto

Broadcast writer and scriptwriter Kundo Koyama, known for his work on ‘Iron Chef’ and the Academy Award-winning film ‘Departures’, is engaging in cultural activities in Kyoto.

In Kameoka City, Koyama will deliver a lecture at Galleria Kameoka regarding the essence of planning and creative production.

Additionally, Kyoto City is hosting a ‘Kyoto-kan Fan Meeting’ on December 5, 2026. Produced by Koyama, the director of Kyoto-kan, and Yosuke Sakai of the Kyoto Traditional Culture Innovation Research Center (KYOTO T5) at Kyoto University of the Arts, the event aims to promote Kyoto’s charm through food and culture. The program includes a special dining experience, an ambassador award ceremony, and a surprise program designed to foster interaction among participants and supporters of the Kyoto-kan project.
