Kunitomi Wood Education Network Committee receives award

The Kunitomi Wood Education Network Committee has received a letter of appreciation in the “Public Awareness (Activities) Category” at the Miyazaki Wood Utilization Prefectural Citizens' Conference General Meeting held in Miyazaki City.

Comprised of 11 members from various ages and professions, the committee aims to provide opportunities for residents to interact with wood while educating them on forestry, the timber industry, and the environment. During the conference, the committee presented case studies of their initiatives, which include experiential learning, forest studies at elementary schools, wood planing experiences, and the creation of wood corsages to help children discover the appeal of timber.
