Kunming Huaxia Eye Hospital launches green channel for Bangladeshi patients

Kunming Huaxia Eye Hospital in China has inaugurated a specialized ‘green channel’ designed to facilitate advanced eye treatment for patients from Bangladesh. This initiative is the first specialized healthcare service of its kind for Bangladeshi citizens in southwestern China.

The program provides several logistical and medical supports, including pre-travel medical consultations, document reviews, priority appointments, and access to a dedicated international desk. To address language barriers, the hospital will provide interpreter assistance. Additionally, the service includes follow-up care once patients return to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Consul General Shahnaz Ranu inaugurated the service and the Huaxia Ophthalmology International Forum 2026. During the event, Ranu emphasized the need for international-standard treatment, patient safety, transparent pricing, and the preservation of patient dignity. She also encouraged the hospital to support the Bangladeshi eye care system through tele-consultations, partnerships, and training for local ophthalmologists and nurses.
