Kuo Ho-hao scores 30 to lead Chinese Taipei White into Jones Cup semifinals

Chinese Taipei White advanced to the semifinals of the 45th William Jones Cup after defeating Malaysia 102-92. Star guard Kuo Ho-hao led the team with a tournament-high 30 points, including nine three-pointers, following a period of low shooting accuracy in previous games.

Lin Hsien-wei contributed 20 points and 8 assists to help the team secure its first triple-digit scoring performance of the tournament. Head coach Chen Tzu-wei noted that the team's strategy shifted from trying to fix Kuo's individual performance to focusing on empowering the rest of the roster, which ultimately reduced pressure on the star player and allowed the offense to flourish.

Chinese Taipei White will face South Korea's Wonju DB NextStars in the semifinals. In other Group A action, Wonju DB secured their spot in the semifinals with a 75-64 victory over Japan.
