Kupinovica landfill remediation begins with 4 million euro contracts

Contracts worth nearly 4 million euros have been signed in Supetar to begin the remediation of the Kupinovica landfill. The total value of the contracted works and professional services, including supervision and project management, amounts to 3,934,830.05 euros excluding VAT.

The largest portion of the budget, 3,821,700.05 euros, is allocated to the remediation contract awarded to the company HIS d. o. o. from Donja Višnjica. Additional contracts were signed for professional supervision with CONTECH d. o. o., project management with NEZIKON d. o. o., and design supervision with H-PROJEKT d. o. o.

The project follows a 2023 Constitutional Court decision regarding the closure and remediation of landfills. The remediation is supported by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, which increased its co-financing share from 75 to 90 percent, resulting in savings of over 590,000 euros for the City of Supetar in the first phase.
