Kupwara encounter: Two terrorists killed near Line of Control

Security forces killed two terrorists during an encounter in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The engagement took place in the Jumgund area of the Keren sector near the Line of Control (LoC).

Alert personnel observed suspicious activity in the early hours of the morning and challenged the individuals, leading to the confrontation. While the operation is ongoing, officials have not yet confirmed whether the incident was part of an attempted infiltration.

This encounter follows a recent incident in the Poonch district, where a mine blast in the Krishna Valley sector killed four terrorists, including a top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander.
