Kurobe Gorge Trolley Railway resumes full service in Japan
The Kurobe Gorge Trolley Railway has resumed full-line operations between Unazuki and Keyakidaira stations for the first time in approximately two and a half years. The resumption follows repair work necessitated by track damage caused by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
With the full route now operational, passengers can access the scenic autumn foliage expected to peak between late October and mid-November. While the line is fully functional, some restoration work continues around Keyakidaira Station, limiting access to the station and the nearby visitor center.
Previously, service had been limited to turnaround operations at Nekomata Station, located about 12 kilometers into the 20-kilometer route. Due to the change in service patterns, passenger boarding at Nekomata Station is no longer available.
