Kurri Kurri data centre project targets role in global AI network
AirTrunk is developing a major data centre campus in Kurri Kurri, Australia. The project is owned by a consortium led by Blackstone, one of the world’s largest infrastructure investors.
Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI model, is the primary candidate to occupy the facility. The site is expected to serve as a critical hub in a global AI network, facilitating high-speed data transfers between the United States and the Indo-Pacific region via sub-sea and terrestrial cable routes.
