Kuryu Matsuki scores early goal as Southampton defeats West Ham

Japanese midfielder Kuryu Matsuki scored his third goal of the season just 100 seconds into Southampton's Championship match against West Ham United. Playing as a right-sided midfielder, Matsuki reacted to a rebound from a Leo Sincenza shot to slot the ball home with his left foot.

Southampton secured a 3-2 victory in the away fixture, with additional goals from James Bree and Lewis Dobbin. Despite a late push from West Ham, including a 93rd-minute goal by Tomas Soucek, Southampton held on to claim the win and move up to sixth place in the league standings.

Local media and fans have praised Matsuki's performance, noting his recent form of three goals in his last six matches. Southampton manager Tonda Eckert credited the team's preparation for securing an early lead in a difficult away environment.
