Kushtia: Six injured in BNP faction clash

At least six people were injured during a violent clash between two factions of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Daulatpur, Kushtia. The conflict, which occurred in the Hossainabad market area, reportedly stemmed from a long-standing land dispute between the Mondal and Sardar groups.

Witnesses reported that approximately 50 to 60 individuals engaged in the confrontation using local weapons and firearms. The violence included four cocktail explosions and several rounds of gunfire, leading to the temporary closure of the Pragpur-Bheramara road.

Three of the injured individuals are reported to be in serious condition. Local police have deployed additional forces to the area to maintain order and prevent further escalation, though the situation remains tense. Authorities have not yet detained any suspects in connection with the incident.
