Kushum Shikder releases new original song Probol Ghor

Actress and singer Kushum Shikder has released a new original song titled ‘Probol Ghor’ after a nearly nine-year hiatus from original music. Shikder, who also wrote the track, is returning to the spotlight following the 2017 controversy surrounding her previous song ‘Nesha,’ which was removed from YouTube following legal scrutiny regarding its visuals.

The new song was composed and arranged by Mahmud Sunny. Although the recording was completed in 2020 during the pandemic, the music video was recently released. The video, produced by Nakul Sarkar under Pahardanga Pictures, was filmed in various locations in Cox’s Bazar and features model Shah Russell.

Shikder, a National Film Award winner, has recently expanded her career into directing with the film ‘Shoroter Joba.’ She noted that while ‘Nesha’ remains a frequent topic of conversation among the public, she chose to release ‘Probol Ghor’ to move forward with her musical journey.
