Kusra: Palestinian family faces ten-day siege by Israeli settlers

A Palestinian family in the village of Kusra, located in the West Bank, has been under siege by radical Israeli settlers for ten days. Despite international criticism, Israeli army and police have not ended the blockade, according to village head Abdul Asim al-Wadi.

Luai Abu Rida, a Palestinian-American and co-owner of one of the besieged houses, returned from the United States to defend the property. To signal his presence and seek protection, he displayed a US flag on the roof of his home. While water and electricity supplies have been partially restored, there are growing concerns that food and medicine supplies may soon run out.

Unicef has provided the family with essential aid, including food, water, medicine, and hygiene items. The family remains in their homes due to fears that leaving would allow settlers to forcibly seize the property.
