Kutná Hora Pride Festival Draws Hundreds for First Edition
The inaugural Kutná Hora Pride festival took place from July 3‑5, exceeding organizers’ expectations. Over the three days, about 250 participants marched through the historic town centre, combining protest, community, and party elements. The event featured concerts, author readings, and a parade that ended in Pride Park, where NGOs, food stalls and a market were set up.
Organisers praised the smooth running of the festival, saying “Až na drobné zádrhele náš festival proběhl naprosto hladce a účast během všech tří dnů překonala naše představy.” Performers such as Gorale Originale Pardubicensis, Marley Wildthing and Mad Velvet attracted large crowds despite variable weather, and drag shows by Ruddy Daddy and Peggy Redwhip added to the vibrant atmosphere. The team expressed gratitude to volunteers, local businesses and supporters, looking forward to future editions.
