Kutno cultural institutions host history and sculpture exhibitions

The Saxon Palace Museum and the Regional Museum in Kutno are organizing the “Meetings with History” event. This year’s program focuses on various anniversaries in Polish and local history. Scheduled activities include lectures on Polish cartography, Napoleonic myths, and the origins of Christianity in Poland, as well as fencing workshops and a history competition for primary schools.

Additionally, the Stanisław Sankowski Regional Museum in Radomsko is hosting a temporary exhibition titled “Half a Century of Tradition: The Sculpture Center in Kutno.” Developed in collaboration with the Saxon Palace Museum, the exhibition showcases the history and artistic achievements of the Kutno sculpture center, which has operated since the mid-1970s. The center’s work is noted for its multi-layered compositions and rich color palettes. The traditions of this sculpture center were officially added to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in June 2023.
