Kutno police investigate discovery of two bodies in apartment

Authorities in Kutno, Poland, are investigating the discovery of two bodies in an apartment on Chodkiewicza Street. The discovery was made on Tuesday, August 25, after neighbors alerted emergency services regarding an unpleasant odor emanating from the residence.

Police and firefighters entered the premises by force. Inside, they found the bodies of a man and a woman in an advanced state of decomposition. According to Paweł Jasiak, spokesperson for the District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź, investigators believe the deceased had been in the apartment for more than two weeks.

As of the current investigation, officials have not released the identities of the victims or the specific cause of death. While formal proceedings are underway to determine the circumstances, unofficial reports suggest there were no immediate signs of third-party involvement at the scene.
