Kutno schools explore Fryderyk Chopin and the Countess of Leszczynko

Students in the Kutno municipality participated in a series of thematic lessons exploring the historical connection between composer Fryderyk Chopin and Laura Górska Czosnowska de Labarthe, the Countess of Leszczynko.

Organized by the Józef Bohdan Zaleski Municipal Library in Leszczynko under the project ‘Countess of Leszczynko & Chopin – Love Hidden Between Notes’, the sessions aimed to teach local history and cultural heritage. The lessons highlighted how Chopin’s 1846 composition, ‘Three Mazurkas’ op. 63, is linked to the Countess.

The educational program took place across four primary schools in Gołębiewko Nowe, Strzegocin, Byszewo, and another local institution, connecting the composer's global legacy to the specific history of the region.
