Kuttanad taluk declares educational institution holiday due to rain

District Collector Shaji V Nair has declared a holiday for August 10, 2026, for all educational institutions in Kuttanad taluk due to heavy rainfall and persistent waterlogging.

The holiday applies to professional colleges, Anganwadis, and tuition centers within the taluk. Additionally, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions currently operating as relief camps across the Alappuzha district. Despite the closures, previously scheduled examinations will proceed as planned.
