Kuwait arrests woman for running unlicensed medical clinic from home

Kuwaiti authorities have arrested an Azerbaijani woman for allegedly operating an unlicensed medical facility from her residence in Jaber Al Ahmad City. According to the Interior Ministry, the suspect provided medical consultations, treatments, and herbal mixtures, and issued unauthorized sick leave certificates for fees ranging from KD5 to KD30.

Investigators seized medical equipment, tools for preparing herbal mixtures, an iPad, and a computer containing patient records. Authorities also recovered KD11,651 in cash and various foreign currencies. The investigation suggests the woman operated the scheme in coordination with a doctor employed at a government hospital. Both individuals have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.
