Kuwait Ministry Announces 68.7% Pass Rate for 2025‑2026 Technical Diplomas
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, led by Minister Mohammed Abdul Latif, officially released the results of the first‑round technical diploma examinations for the 2025‑2026 academic year. A total of 518,181 candidates passed, yielding an overall success rate of 68.69%. The exam series introduced a new "booklet" coding system and involved extensive participation from labor‑market representatives to align outcomes with workforce needs.
Pass rates varied by programme: the five‑year system achieved a 90.70% success rate (15,973 students), the three‑year general system 55.27% (361,434 students), dual training 85.07% (11,795), competency‑based tracks 85.55% (321,576), applied technology schools 80.81% for three‑year (4,426) and 100% for five‑year (53) tracks. Professional preparation programmes recorded a 36.43% pass rate (35,545), while integrated three‑year tracks reached 84.20% (11,066). Additionally, 199,401 candidates qualified for a second‑round examination, 32,220 failed, and 5,044 were absent (0.67%).
