Samsung SSDs worth $1,500 found inside $30 expansion card
A shopper at the Souq-al-Juma flea market in Kuwait City discovered three Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSDs hidden inside an Asus Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 expansion card. The item was purchased for approximately $30.
The buyer, an Instagram user known as Sunny (@whateversunnyfinds), noted that while the expansion card itself is worth roughly $79, the discovery of the three high-capacity drives significantly increased the value of the purchase. Based on current retail prices of $450 to $500 per unit, the total value of the SSDs is estimated to be between $1,300 and $1,500.
It remains unclear how the drives ended up in the flea market or if the seller was aware of their contents. Additionally, the functional health and condition of the drives have not yet been verified.
