Iranian missile strike kills worker at Chinese firm in northern Kuwait

An Iranian missile strike hit a building owned by a Chinese company in northern Kuwait, killing one worker and causing extensive material damage. Hours later, Jordan’s air defence system intercepted and shot down five missiles launched from Iran, reporting no casualties. The United States Central Command announced it had carried out a heavy wave of strikes on dozens of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps targets, including command centres, missile and drone facilities, and coastal surveillance sites, in response to earlier Iranian attacks on a U.S. base in Jordan. The incidents occur amid a broader escalation of the U.S.–Iran conflict, with reports that U.S. forces have also launched HIMARS rockets from Kuwait toward Iran. The series of attacks underscores rising regional tensions involving Kuwait, Iran, Jordan and the United States.
