KV Mechelen loans striker Lenaerts to Helmond Sport, may sell defender Marsa to Malaga

Belgian club KV Mechelen has sent 18‑year‑old forward Mauro Lenaerts on loan to Dutch second‑division side Helmond Sport for the remainder of the season. The move is intended to give the young striker regular playing time and continues a partnership between the two clubs that has seen several players move between them since 2020.

At the same time, KV Mechelen is reported to be negotiating a potential transfer of left‑back José Marsa to Spanish La Liga team Malaga. The Spanish club has shown interest in the 24‑year‑old, whose market value is estimated at €3.5 million, but no formal bid has been made yet. Marsa has one year left on his contract with Mechelen, and the club hopes to secure a sizeable fee.
