KVN Productions seeks injunction against defamatory content for film ‘Toxic’

The production house KVN Productions LLP has initiated legal action regarding the film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, starring Yash. An ex-parte temporary injunction was issued by a Bengaluru civil court on August 22, prohibiting the circulation of content deemed false, malicious, defamatory, or derogatory concerning the film.

Following the film’s box office debut, several content creators and YouTubers, including Suraj Kumar and Prashanth Rangaswamy, have reported receiving legal notices related to their reviews. While the court order does not explicitly ban negative reviews or genuine criticism, it aims to restrain the dissemination of harmful or defamatory material. The injunction is currently set to remain in force until a scheduled hearing on September 28.
