KwakTube experiences luxury Etihad flight amid SK Hynix investment losses

Travel creator KwakTube recently shared his experience flying in Etihad Airways’ ultra-luxury ‘The Residence’ suite on a flight from Japan to Abu Dhabi. The nine-hour journey cost approximately 14.9 million KRW, featuring a private living room, bedroom, and bathroom.

Despite the high-end amenities, KwakTube expressed significant financial anxiety throughout the flight. He revealed that he had invested most of his funds into SK Hynix stock, which was at a 14% loss at the time of filming. He noted that the cost of the flight was equivalent to roughly 1 million KRW per hour, leading him to joke that he would rather use the money to ‘average down’ his stock positions rather than pay for the luxury service.

Following the luxury flight, KwakTube traveled via economy class to Istanbul. He also mentioned plans to spend six days traveling in Türkiye while staying with an acquaintance.
