Kwakwani to receive 800 KVA generator for 24-hour electricity

Prime Minister Mark Phillips has announced the delivery of an 800 KVA generator to Kwakwani to ensure a reliable 24-hour electricity supply. The generator was delivered on a Tuesday night and is expected to become operational by the middle of the week, increasing the community's total capacity to 3.1 MVA.

The investment aims to address recent challenges with power reliability and meet increasing local demand. This initiative is part of a broader development agenda for Region Ten, which includes improvements to ICT connectivity, public services, and health infrastructure.

Looking ahead, an additional 1 MW of generation capacity is expected to be added to the community by January 2027 to support continued growth and development.
