Kwantlen Polytechnic University halts external event bookings

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is halting external event bookings at its Langley campus due to financial and resource constraints. This decision affects various events, including the annual Mopar Madness Unlimited car show.

Mopar Madness Unlimited is a nonprofit event that raises funds for local charities, such as the Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association (VTEA). Following the university's decision to scale back external hosting, organizers are currently searching for a new venue.

KPU Interim VP of Administration Andy Sidhu stated that the university is evaluating requests to ensure they align with its educational mandate and available funding. Club vice-president Garry Keay noted that the organization is currently weighing options for future locations.
