APC establishes reconciliation committees in Oyo and Kwara states ahead of 2027 elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has formed a large reconciliation committee comprising senior politicians, former officials and community leaders. The panel, slated for inauguration by state chairman Moses Adeyemo, will address grievances of aspirants who did not secure tickets after the primaries and seeks to preserve party unity before the 2027 general elections. The committee’s membership includes Senators Olufemi Lanlehin, Brimo Yusuf, Hosea Agboola, former Head of the Civil Service Prof. Afolabi Oladapo and numerous other elders.
In Kwara State, the APC announced a five‑member reconciliation panel chaired by retired Colonel Ademola Lawal, with members Ahmed Abbas, Musa Yeketi, Dr. Oluwatoyin Opawoye and Hajia Kubura Kassum. State chairman Sunday Fagbemi said the panel will engage aggrieved members, identify points of disagreement and recommend steps to strengthen cohesion as the party prepares for the upcoming elections. The move follows a rally praising party leadership and emphasizing unity across the state.
