Kwara APC Peace Committee formed to resolve party disputes
Prof. Oba AbdulRaheem, a former Vice-Chancellor and former Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, is leading the Kwara APC Peace Committee to reconcile aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State. The committee held its inaugural meeting on September 17 in Ilorin to address internal disagreements stemming from the party’s primaries.
The group aims to act as a conscience for APC leaders, resolving grievances and promoting the achievements of the administrations of President Bola Tinubu and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The committee is working to forge a common front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Key members of the committee include Dr. Johnson Adewumi, former Minister Hon. Issa Bio Ibrahim, Hon. AbdulGaniyu Cook Olododo, and veteran journalist Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin, among others. The group is actively canvassing support for the APC governorship candidate, Hon. Yakubu Danladi, and other party candidates within the state.
