Kwara State implements ten-year agricultural transformation plan
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has implemented the Kwara State Agricultural Transformation Plan, a ten-year strategic blueprint designed to modernize the agricultural sector and enhance food security. The plan focuses on six strategic pillars: crop production, agricultural finance, livestock development, market access, value chains, and institutional reform.
A key component of this initiative is the improvement of rural infrastructure to connect farmers to markets. Through the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), supported by the World Bank and Agence Française de Développement, Kwara State has committed over ₦4 billion in counterpart funding to facilitate these improvements.
