Kwara State NDC candidate Abdulmumeen Ajia launches 2027 campaign

Professor Abdulmumeen Olayinka Ajia, the governorship candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kwara State, has officially launched his campaign for the 2027 general elections. During a campaign event in Ilorin, Ajia, a US-based university lecturer, pledged to prioritize the establishment of functional education and healthcare systems to improve the lives of residents.

Ajia stated that his candidacy is driven by a desire to improve public wellbeing and create educational opportunities for disadvantaged children rather than personal enrichment. He called for public accountability, asserting that public office should be dedicated to service. As part of his campaign activities, he met with local residents, business owners, and traditional leaders, including the Balogun Alanamu and the Balogun Fulani of Ilorin, to seek their support.
